Program Evaluation Solutions

The TCPP is committed to the development of a high quality program that includes an ongoing evaluation strategy for program effectiveness. The foundation of the TCPS© is the ongoing evaluation and business development that continually strengthens the program.

The evaluation process begins with initial data collection from all new partners as well as through yearly updates related to their experiences and perceptions of the clinical placement process for healthcare students both prior to using the TCPS© and then once the program has been implemented within a region. Ongoing program evaluation measures student, faculty, and facility outcomes. Information from program evaluation is reported back to the partners and incorporated into additional program development and enhancements. Through collaboration with other states, TCPS will be evaluating similar data from across the US based upon the TCPS model.

To sustain this partnership and program, the TCPS functions under the guidance of a business model that seeks to build partnerships throughout the state of Tennessee to share the financial requirements to maintain access to the TCPS©. Grants and access fees currently sustain the program. The model also includes a nation-wide marketing plan that offers licensing opportunities for using the TCPS© in other states seeking to improve capacity in healthcare education.

The TCPS© makes the Evaluation Solution available to other states and/or regions who are facing similar challenges in streamlining clinical placement practices.
