Welcome Students & Faculty!Regulatory agencies require that employees and ANY individual providing patient care in healthcare facilities review specific content related to safety and professional healthcare practice annually to maintain compliance with regulatory mandates and insure overall quality patient care. This has often resulted in redundant orientation programs for students and faculty each semester as each facility presented this required content to each clinical group. To streamline your orientation process and reduce these redundant orientation sessions, the clinical facility(ies) that you have been assigned to this semester utilize(s) an online orientation program developed by the Tennessee Clinical Placement System (TCPS©). This content provides the required general orientation that is foundational to all healthcare practice. You can expect clinical facilities to add to this content any organization-specific information that best prepares you to provide patient care in their facility. It may be done online or in a classroom setting. Be sure and check with your instructor for any additional facility-specific requirements. How to get started! The content has been developed for two different student populations: Pre-Licensure Nursing and Healthcare/Graduate Students. Once your review the Technical Notes, click on the link below. You will need the User ID and Password provided by your Instructor or School to access the program! You will also need the FLASH plugin to log into the system. See Technical Notes below if you need this free plugin! Further instructions related to navigation of the system will be presented there!
