Placement Solution

The StudentMax® Online Database was designed by the Oregon Center for Nursing. It is a user-friendly, online clinical placement program that connects schools of nursing and allied healthcare programs seeking clinical placement opportunities for students with healthcare facilities that offer or would like to offer clinical educational opportunities for student nurses. The program allows participating schools to view online, available clinical placement sites at participating healthcare facilities. It also allows clinical site managers to access information about student groups assigned to their unit on any given day during any given shift.

Through access to the database, clinical facilities can manage their clinical placements; schools can find open placements. Partners of the TCPP submit their initial placement data to the TCPS and have full access to this database. The data can be exported to EXCEL should a partner need to maintain a "desk" copy of placement data. Placement requests are initiated through the click of a button that automatically sends the request to the facility. Based upon the operating guidelines of the Tennessee Clinical Placement Partnership, responses to placement requests when a contract is in place are generally completed within two working days unless illness or other unforeseen obstacles are present.
